  • Exceptional seafood for an occasional splurge
    By robine6, 10/26/08
We went for a light but celebratory Sunday lunch, greatly enjoying the Marenostrum mixture of raw seafood (including, unusually, delicious sea urchins). Expensive (Rs$ 258 for just this dish, normally a starter for two, plus one caipirinha and a bottle of less expensive Chilean wine), but well worth it, for a truly memorable meal. Pleasant ambience, very good service. We'll be back, for the lobster (which is kept alive, in a tank).

  • This is the place for seafood!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/30/07
Satyricon was a pleasant surprise for my wife b/c she loves seafood. The service there was excellent and it had a nice ambience. Yes, it's pricey but if you waive off the couvert and don't order drinks or desert, you'll get out of there for a reasonable price. The seafood is outstanding. I had the prawns and fish on a skewer and my ...

Snapper baked in rock salt was outstanding. Grilled prawns also. Excellent and attentive service. This was a very fine dining experience. We would certainly return.

  • Enjoy, But Don't Expect Too Much
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/02/05
Top restaurants in Rio all suffer the same problem: attentive service and local culture clash. Your waitor may seem a bit put off to have to actually do his job. The food is good enough, though nothing to rave about, but the atmosphere offers great people watching and the wine list is excellent. It is worth a trip. Try the opening appetizer ...

  • Where Madonna goes for Seafood in Rio
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/08/04
Went there because of the fish baked in rock salt - supposedly what Madonna orders there. It was fabulous. Perfectly cooked, moist, intense flabor. I had a simple meal. Martini, no wine, carpaccio, and the fish. Great bread here too.
Companion had a great meal also.

Clean, efficient attentive service. Wine list looked pricey, but bottled ...
