Recoleta - more than just a cementaryThe Recoleta Cementery is a sight not to be missed. It is a very beautiful and peaceful place of repose. Eva Peron is buried there and is the most visited tomb at the cementary. However, do not miss the chapel next door and the old monks quaters (for a minor extra charge) Make sure to visit the many shops and restaurants nearby. During weekends there is also a crafts fair around the Recoleta.OVERALL

QEPDThe cemetary is awesome. It's a virtual who's who of Argentine history. You have Evita (not so well marked), you have Sarmiento, the unknown soldiers from the war with Paraguay, Juan Manuel de Rosas and other evil leaders, tons of Presidents...you will basically find all the street names in Buenos Aires in here. If you're a history buff or know Argentine history, it's amazing. Otherwise, it's still pretty cool.You did not find this review helpful.2 of 3 Yahoo!
