The quality of the dancing is top notch here and the small venue keeps the numbers down (about 30 is a packed house), so while the price may be a little higher than other BA attractions, it is very exclusive. The tango is a very intimate dance and best enjoyed in a small venue like Bar Sur rather than the larger, cheaper (but not by much) tourist traps which lack atmosphere. If you want to see the best tango dancers up close this is the place.

I think the managment is aware of the wide coverage of Bar Sur in the guidebooks. The entry price has more than doubled and drinks cost approx US$8 upwards per glass.
