Thought it was a bad sign that nobody was queueing up to get into here at the height of the tourist season. Got a 20% discount on the door, think the girl took pity on us for wasting THAT much money. Only decent thing about this place was the peguins. The rest just looked tired and dated. Wouldn't go again, and would definitely not recommend to others. Go to the zoo instead, half the price and much more fun!

Give it a pass
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/14/05
If you have been to Sea World give this place a pass. There wasn't much to see and most of the place seemed to be under construction while I was there. Definitely not worth the money.

Not Worth It
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/12/07
The whole "tour" will take about 45 min. and that will be if you actually stop and look at every little thing. If you have a lot of little kids they'll be entertained, you'll be able to hold the teenager's attention span for about 10 minutes and forget this if you're an adult. You can spend your money on something else. It ...

Kelly Tarleton

The entrance fee was extremely high for 45 minutes of entertainment. There are only 2 attractions, the penguins and walkway. Not worth the $$$.

Worth One Visit
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/15/07
The manta rays were fabulous. So also was the snow cat ride into penguin land.
If you reach there by Kelly Tarlton's coach be sure to be out before the departure time else you'll have to walk it.

Wonderful
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/20/04
Parking right at entrance and exits, wonderful for the eye to see for both young and old. Section for kids to touch and explore play as they learn. Great ride through artic penguin enclosure. Also a rotating floor moving you around under a mass of different underwater wonders including mantor rays and sharks. But see for yourself. Thanks from a South African tourist

I went to see the Penguins three times
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/27/05
Kelly Tarlton's is unique. It used to be a water treatment plant and the city gave it to Kelly Tarlton to convert to an "Antarctic Encounter and Underwater World." You can see a film of the work involved to do the conversion.
You can also see lots of penguins on a tram ride and many, many types of underwater life as you walk ...
