One Tree HillOne tree hill is one cool place. This is a city park which is basically an old volcano cone in the middle of the city. You can drive to the top where the great king Matihawi is buried. The views are spectacular and you can see 180 degrees. Great place to visit. There are sheep roaming free so look out. Be sure and look for the Moari messages ...1 of 1 Yahoo! One Tree Hilli love this place, not only for the history but also for its peace and calm. it is an extinct volcano and an old Maori fortified pa and a working farm 20 mins from Auckland's CBD. Added to that the views of both the Manukau and Waitemata Harbours are spectacular. visitors get an idea of the small peninsula on which Auckland is based.
