  • Absolutely stunning!
    By ~chocokat~, 10/21/08
It was great! I can't wait till the next time we visit down under and check out the famous sights like Bondi Beach. It was a bit crowded though but nevertheless we had a blast and enjoyed our meal at one of the restos nearby.

  • Famous, but crowded during summer

If you can time your visit to include the Sculpture by Sea exhibits, Bondi is a must see. Otherwise, it is a beach complete with nightclubs, McDonalds and souvenier stands.

  • One of the most Beautiful Sites!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/14/08
I absolutely LOVED Bondi Beach! I went on a beautiful September day (their spring-time). The color of the ocean is so blue and you can see through the crisp water. The sand is so smooth and soft! I completely recommend stopping here for a day at the beach. I only stopped for about 30minutes (not enough time). Just an enjoyable relaxing site! Way better than East Coast Beaches in the United States.

  • A great place to see and be seen by the sea!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/03/07
Cafe culture meets beach culture. Bars. Restaurants. Lots of tourists in summer!

Bondi Beach is also a great place to rollerblade, skateboard and bmx because of its skatepark!

Hire some skates and go rollerblading along the promenade!

  • Everything I imagined
    By altermood, 11/27/07
We went here when the sculptures by the sea exhibit was going on and walked from Tamarama Beach(the next beach over) to Bondi and back. It was an amazing walk! I was totally fascinated by the rocky cliffs..so beautiful. Bondi Beach itself is pretty small but there's lots of stores and restaurants on the little strip by the road along the beach.

  • Over rated!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/10/07
I don't know if it was because I worked everyday for 2 months at Bondi but, I really think Bondi Beach is quite over rated. I found it far too busy and full of absolute posers! If thats your thing, then you'll love it. Also what out for the rip tides. Was unfortunate to get caught up in one. Don't swim against it though.
I found Coogee Beach much better and cleaner, and full of better eye candy.

  • Good beach...
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/21/07
Pretty good place. It's fun and full of good looking people. The water is a bit cold, but the beach is nice and the environment is great. Go get a smootie from "Sejuiced" to cool off. I wonder if Australia just might have other beaches that are better...I've heard rumors.

  • Bondi has everything
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/18/06
Bondi Beach was everything I expected of Australia. All kinds of friendly people and great outdoor dining. There's also some great nature trails to other beaches. Don't be intimidated to take the bus to Bondi, it's quite easy.

A filthy place which was once the jewel in the crown of Sydney. On one hand the council has tarted up the streets and then the once vibrant shopping strip is disappearing/going broke because of a coucil parking inspectors who are scaring shoppers away. As seen on TV!

It is slowly becoming like Sahara Desert, everyone knows where it is but fewer ...

Hi, There are no doubts about Bondi Beach for me. I live in Bondi and always have. My family always enjoy a nice day at the beach and an Aussie B.B.Q.
