  • Worth a squiz...

I'm not a frequent visitor of museums, but I enjoyed the GHMM exhibition on the Sir Joseph Banks Hotel. I found the collection of artefacts and the stories of personalities and events that shaped the local area both intriguing and enlightening. Definitely worth a look.

  • Great local history!

I saw the exhibition they did on the local pub, the Sir Joseph Banks Hotel, and it was great. A lot better than I thought from such a small, out-of-the-way museum. They had sourced period costumes and accessories, and had a whole heap of objects dug up from underneath the original buildings (before they got redeveloped into private residences).
It's great value 'coz it's free, you just have to find it!
