This Zoo is striking, the Landscape is wonderful and the animals are wonderful with one of the largest varieties I have seen. I especially enjoyed the Koala's. It is a must see.

I loved it, and I loved the animals. Australian animals are VERY friendly! The recreation of the rainforest was breathtaking when I was there in 1989. I'm sure it's even more so now!

Animals are allowed more freedom than in any other zoo I've visited. The giraffes have the best view in the world!

As well as being an excellent zoo, Taronga Park is right on the water and has some of the best views of Sydney and the Harbour Bridge. The zoo is also a quick and inexpensive ferry ride from Circular Quay, which makes the whole experience easy and enjoyable. I've been there in both winter and summer and would go back again.

First off, you start with a leisure ferry ride across the harbour, to get to the zoo. Once there, you have the option of taking a sky-ride to work your way from one end to the other, or just taking your time to see it all with some good old fashion walking.
