Tetsuya's is the best restaurant I have ever eaten in. I come from New York City. I travel a lot. At home I eat out frequently at better restaurants. I do the same when I travel. After eating at Tetsuya's twice, I am convinced that Tetsuya's is one of the best restaurants around. The food is very good. But the outstanding feature ...

Worth the experience

Outstanding in all facets of dining. The balance of the food and wine was a real experience. This place is not for those who believe a meal should flop over the edges of your plate (go to Sizzlers), or all-you-can-eat for $5.95 is value for money. It is rated highly internationally and I can only agree with that assessment.
The place is practically strategic, it is only a walking distance from the hotel where i stayed during the holiday few years back.. The fascinating thing is that the French kind of allure it got in to each course from hors d'oeuvre to dessert , feels like being in France except you are having a Japanese ambiance (charming garden by the way)in ...

What more can I say. Everything is great. All those who criticize it have no taste for beautiful food. Deserves its place as the 4th best restaurant in the world.

Separates those who love food and those who think of it as fuel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/08/06
It would appear from reading other reviews that Tetsuya's polarises its clients, at least those who post on this site.
I am puzzled by those who don't like it. Those who don't like it seem to be predominantly American. I don't know what they were expecting. Perhaps they would like bigger portions.
As far as I am concerned, it ...

Disappointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/02/06
With great sadness, I must agree with the opinions of others that this restaurant is extremely overpriced and the menu uneven. I had hoped that for $180A that this would be the greatest meal of our lives. Regretably, I cannot say that it was.
Our meal consisted of 10 courses. An 11th course of raw oysters was offered for an extra cost but we ...

I Like Food - Food is Good!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/16/05
At those prices, it had BETTER be good. Honestly, food is food. This restuarant is quie pricey, and one wonders why that is necessary. It all comes out the back end eventually, so.... But it was tasty.

Tetsuya is a figment of your imagination
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/08/05
Four of us had the most expensive, pretensious and inferior dinner at Tetsuya. The best part was the outside gate. How can so many people rave about such phony mediocrity?? The staff is robotic and humorless. The room is totally boring. The food is laughable....especially the raw duck and tasteless beef dishes at the end. Even the deserts were ...
