The Powerhouse used to be a very scary deserted power station. It has been cleverly reinvented as a centre for the performing and visual arts. Many of the old features remain.
It's located right on the Brisbane River next to a lovely old park; New Farm Park.
There is a great cafe/restaurant called Watt.
