  • EXPENSIVE!
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 10/08/07
it is extremely expensive, as always. i took four of my five kids, it was $30 just to get in and park. its $50 for 55 tickets and the rides are anywhere from 2 to 4 tickets each. the food prices are outrageous as well. add in the obnoxious "game runners" screaming at you every 2 feet and you have any parents nightmare. BUT, the kids have ...

I live in Mississippi and i go to it every year, like 5 or 9 times a year. They have the best tasting food ever. It is a variety of things, they got rides that are a thrill and concerts that are worth experiencing. I have no complaints what so ever.

  • LOOK FORWARD TO IT EVERY YEAR!
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 09/25/07
The Mississippi State fair is FANTASTIC! No matter what time or day you do, you are sure to have a GREAT time! If you are looking for family fun, i suggest you go during the day (when it's free to get in) or on a Sunday. The young people come in on Friday and Saturday nights, and there is a lot of drinking and smoking, but the atmosphere is perfect for anyone looking to have a great time!

I go to the fair every year! Even when I lived in AL I would come back home just for the fair. Im pregnant this year but I will be there for all the great food. I love the funnel cakes and chicken on a stick. I cant wait. I used to ride EVERYTHING! Atleast there are a few things I can still ride...I hope!

  • Jackson fall highlight
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 09/03/07
This is the most fun to be had all year in Jackson, Mississippi, aside from the Mal's St. Paddy's Day Parade in the spring. The state fair has great food, rides and concerts throughout the 10-day event. It has a petting zoo, a small circus, pony rides, children's rides as well as the fun and crazy adult rides. It can get rather pricey ...

  • Not all that it's hyped up to be
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 03/21/07
It's in a bad area. It's overpriced. Parking is overpriced. The rides look old and the tickets are overpriced. There isn't much to do or see, unless you are fascinated by a miniature pony or really really want someone to guess your age or weight. The games are obviously rigged against the players, they don't even bother to hide it. ...

  • It remains me of my childhood in Jackson
    By biancamays27, 10/05/06
Every year we attend the fair there is always something exciting going on. The smell of all the different foods and the famous candied apples, elephant ears, and the homemade lemonade will always be a reason for my family and I to return every year. It's offically a family tradition.
