If you live anywhere south of downtown Seattle the Coho Ferry is faster, cheaper, more relaxing and more romantic to take downtown Victoria. It docks in the same place as the Clipper in Victoria. Why? -Coho is MUCH cheaper, travelling as a foot passenger $13.50 vs. $100 -Coho is 1.5 hours at sea, vs.
It's a boat ride, 2.5 hours to Victoria. Nothing to rave about. The windows on the boat were dirty with water spots, so I wasn't able to see outside very clearly. The ride was relatively comfortable. We booked an overnight package through the Clipper. The package said hotel transfers to and from the dock were included. I thought a shuttle ...

Clipper in Sept
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/29/08
We are taking the Clipper in Sept and was wondering if there are any promo codes out there or coupons I could use for the clipper.
Took the clipper from Seattle to Victoria. Got to the terminal at 6:30am, stood in line...did the customs thing and boarded the boat. Takes 2 and a half hours to get there, surrounded by screaming kids and crying babies. Then you get off and stand in line again for about an hour to go through customs again... Then on our return trip, we were ...

I made an online reservation with Clipper Vacations to overnight in Victoria and only afterwards did I realize it was a passenger only ferry - I am traveling with my wife, her dog and my cat to look at a boat for sale. Obviously that was really stupid of me to not realize it was a passenger only ferry (the regular ferries are all down for ...

For out 15 wedding anniversary we decided to book a trip to Friday Harbor for whale watching . We had to spend the night in Seattle due to the fact that we live to far away to drive and still make the early departure time. We arrived at the requested time at the Pier. We knew something was wrong when we were standing in line for an hour and the ...

My family of 4 took the Clipper on the July 27th weekend. As I had expected the food was similar to that of cafeteria box lunches. But what was surprising to me was that the ticket agents nor the boat personal pay any attention to if people are traveling in groups. Seating on the clipper is completely out of control, groups or families with ...

We were on a sailing that was delayed due to high winds. Not only were they offering no-hassle refunds, but they also gave us a %50 off coupon for our next trip! Now would airlines do that? Heck no!!
My wife, son and I went on the Victoria Clipper 3 excursion to the San Juan Island/whale watching. The crew was very helpful and the nature guide was very knowledgable. Although it was a long day we were told about the area as we made our way North. I highly recommend this trip if you want to see this beautiful part of the country.
