  • Ahhhhhh the Pudget Sound!
    By Emarldcitygal, 09/18/05
I lived in Seattle for almost 8 years before I, regretably moved away. My very favorite thing to do on the weekends was to go down to the waterfront, and watch the farries come and go, eat at Ivar's Acres of Clams, browse Ye' Old Curiosity Shop, and just whatch the sun set over the horizon. It's so peaceful, and beautiful. There's ...

  • You gotta see it!!

There is something special about walking Alaskan Way eating an ice cream cone with cars on a dilapidated viaduct above you, street musicians along side, the squawking of seagulls and the smell of salt air. The Seattle Waterfront is something that has to be done. First however, check the baseball schedule. If the Mariners are playing at home ths ...

  • Seattle Waterfront, Go See It
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 01/08/05
Park your vehicle, grab some chowder at Ivar's and head to Ye Old Curiosity Shop... watch the ferries, breathe in some fresh air.

Experience the Seattle Waterfront, a little piece of Americana. Bring some spare change for the beggers or be prepared to be harassed.

  • Great experience
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 01/03/08
The Seattle Waterfront is really pretty and clean. I went there in the morning and took a ferry ride to Bainbridge Island. It was just around $5 or so for the whole ride. It is the best way to look at Seattle skyline and waterfront from ferry deck.

  • First stop on our trip
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 02/27/07
We always make the waterfront our 1st stop (after we have checked into our hotel). We drop our bags and RUN for the waterfront and to have our 1st meal at Ivars. Sometimes we eat in the formal restaurant and sometimes the fastfood version. Depends on the time of day. Watching the seagulls and the Ferrys arrive and depart while we eat is fun. ...

  • always something new
    By stevencroon, 09/24/05
The waterfront is a place of so much variety it is hard to describe. The small shops are great for the kids to see things they never dreamed of. The aquarium is one of the best on the west coast, and its proximity to the space needle, pikes market and the Seattle zoo, makes it a perfect place to start an exploration of seattle the kids big, and small, will never forget.
I go back every year and look foreward to it every time!

  • Romantic
    By chua_herbert, 09/16/06
One of the more enduring images that I have about the Seattle Waterfront before my visit there is Kenny G playing his saxophone at one of the piers against the spectacular Seattle skyline at dusk. Absolutely romantic! For a city literally surrounded by water, a world-class waterfront is imperative to add romance to the city. I just loved walking ...

  • A wonderful experience
    By MakingMemoriesDaily, 05/30/08
Our second trip to this lovely area of the country and will not be our last. The walks around the waterfront are nice just a little to busy for us. Still a great time, lots to see, great weather. Beautiful, green, and floral areas.
Bring $$$ as this area is a little on the pricey side but well worth the visit.

  • Wander the waterfront!
    By whirlyite1959@sbcglobal.net, 06/09/06
The Seattle waterfront has something for everyone. On my first trip to Seattle I was on my own most of the time. I filled an entire two days with the waterfront. You can visit the Aquarium, eat at Ivar's, roam around Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe, hop a Washington State Ferry for a cheap cruise to Bremerton or wherever you want to go, risk a ...
