Wander the waterfront!The Seattle waterfront has something for everyone. On my first trip to Seattle I was on my own most of the time. I filled an entire two days with the waterfront. You can visit the Aquarium, eat at Ivar's, roam around Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe, hop a Washington State Ferry for a cheap cruise to Bremerton or wherever you want to go, risk a ...3 of 4 Yahoo! You must see!!!!The waterfront is a must stop! When walking along the waterfront you acn sit there and watch the ferries come and go or you can just watch the people walk by. First stop on our tripWe always make the waterfront our 1st stop (after we have checked into our hotel). We drop our bags and RUN for the waterfront and to have our 1st meal at Ivars. Sometimes we eat in the formal restaurant and sometimes the fastfood version. Depends on the time of day. Watching the seagulls and the Ferrys arrive and depart while we eat is fun. ...8 of 8 Yahoo! Always awaiting another visit.I really enjoy the waterfront. Of course I live here. Everytime we take family from out of state here they love it as well. One of my family members currently volunter's at the Seattle Aqurium, and i ahve visited it many times. You gotta see it!!There is something special about walking Alaskan Way eating an ice cream cone with cars on a dilapidated viaduct above you, street musicians along side, the squawking of seagulls and the smell of salt air. Lots to doThere is plenty to do. People watching, places to eat and shop, take the water taxi to Alki beach is quick and easy or the trolley to one end to the other along Alaskan Way. Also the Argosy cruise is fun for out of town guests. I will be looking forward to seeing the New and improved Aquarium.
