Right on the water ... quaint gift shops line this victorian towns' streets...great restaurants...especially love the restaurant at the Belmount Hotel and Fins. Harbor side Inn is my favorite motel. It is not fancy but is clean and has nice outdoor pool and spa. Fort Worden is worth the look around. Kids enjoy walking through old bunkers. Try kayaking if you are adventurous.

Great for anyone...lots of hiking trails, and right on the beach. Just a little bit outside of town, too!
You could go to the bunkers, which are pretty cool, or check out the marine center.

The best wine we have ever had in Washington came from Port Townsend. The Sorensen Cellers have a small store where you can taste their wine and purchase anything from wine glasses to wine books. They also provided us with the opportunity to see where the wine was stored and try a glass of 6 month old wine.

The town is beautiful and charming and you get curious as to how all of these beautiful Victorian buildings came to be in such a remote place. The answers to all of your questions can be found at the local downtown museum, which is in one of those cool brick buildings.
