After having been to about 7 zoos, including the Smithsonian's (which is a disappointment!) this has to be my favorite. It's beautiful, doesn't smell, and has wonderful trails to go to in order to see the animals. Plus, free maps! So people can actually find the animals! The staff was very helpful. :]

We live in the central U.S. and usually frequent Omaha Zoo. Everyone in Seattle told us Woodland Park Zoo was really cool. We were excited, but when we left there we were disappointed. We believed it didn't hold a candle to Omaha Zoo. We probably won't return because it was too plain. We really liked the butterfly garden though.
Our family went and we were not that impressed. In the exibits there were not that many animals in view. There were no penguins at all. I would say for the price they charge our family would not be going back any time soon. We did however love the butterfly exibit.
This is such a natural environment for the animals.They all look so healthy and content! We are completing our animal reports and were able to get close up views of many of them. There no better way to learn than from first hand experience. Where else can you get that close to a mountain goat?!! Our trip every year is a rich learning experience ...
everyone in the family, young and old, will have fun and get educated. A day at woodland park zoo will be a memory that will last a lifetime. Create a memory for your kids.
if i had enough money i would go every other weekend and when they have special events, the zoo is great with lost of diffrent animals and bugs, great for everyone just bring your own food, it can get spendy
