After having been to about 7 zoos, including the Smithsonian's (which is a disappointment!) this has to be my favorite. It's beautiful, doesn't smell, and has wonderful trails to go to in order to see the animals. Plus, free maps! So people can actually find the animals! The staff was very helpful. :]

We live in the central U.S. and usually frequent Omaha Zoo. Everyone in Seattle told us Woodland Park Zoo was really cool. We were excited, but when we left there we were disappointed. The kids had fun
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/20/07
Our family went and we were not that impressed. In the exibits there were not that many animals in view. There were no penguins at all. I would say for the price they charge our family would not be going back any time soon. We did however love the butterfly exibit.

There no better way to learn than from first hand experience. Where else can you get that close to a mountain goat?!! Our trip every year is a rich learning experience ...
