  • Excellent experience, would defniitely visit again
    By things and stuff, 09/03/08
I was not sure if it would be worth the $15 admission, but once we took the elevator up to the observation deck my worries disappeared. The view of downtown, suburban Seattle and the water is incredibly breathtaking. Be sure to bring a coat or jacket as it gets pretty windy up there.

Also if you want to drop postcards from the top like in ...

  • What a view!
    By Lisam0198, 07/12/08
We stopped at the Space Needle Restuarant for brunch. The food was excellent but really expensive. It was $45 per person for soup, one entree, and a desert. But the service was great and the view is unbelievable. After we ate we went up to the observation deck. It was truly a beautiful sight! Glad we did it but I wouldn't pay that much for lunch again.

  • Tourist Trappish
    By Jessica, 07/03/08
Yes, you must do the Space Needle when in Seattle but beware of the restaurant. Your ticket up is included with any reservation but the minimum per person is $25!..and that's just for a salad. If you want something good double that! Your better off paying the $15 to ride up and dining somewhere closer to sea level.

Been there in the summer. Love the atmosphere. Love the sight. Can't wait to go back. Guess it could be better sight and atmosphere in winter or spring.

  • Nice view if the weather is cooperating
    By deanmorganseattle07, 03/13/08
Went to dine at the Space Needle for several special occasions. My one year anniversary was an extraordinary experience. The staff gave us a dessert on the house as well as a card congratulating us on our anniversary (almost 7 years ago and we still have the card in our scrapbook). Went with my mom when she was visiting from Chicago. ...

  • Touristy...but have to visit at least once!
    By Pearland Mom, 03/11/08
We had dinner in the Sky City restaurant at the top of the tower, wonderful views! The atmosphere and service were fantastic, the food not worth the exorbitant prices though. It's one of those places you have to visit, and then never go back!

I was visiting my niece in Seattle, we along with her Husband, and two children visited the Space Needle on Veterans Day. It was a wonderful experience, we had lunch at the top, the service was excellent, and the food was great. I came to Seattle via the Amtrak Train, starting from Memphis, Tn. going to Chicago,IL & then to Seattle. I must say ...

there is nothing to say about Seattle, I was born and raised in the great Pacific Northwest. I do miss all the fresh seafood.
the waterfront with all the hustle and bustle of the boat, ferries, small shops.
