The Space Needle is the iconic, cornball, must-see Seattle experience. It's like the Empire State Building in New York or the Tower Eiffel in Paris. Ya gotta go if you're there! The price has gone up each of the last three years I've gone but it's still a heckuva value for all day and half the night if you are so inclined. The ...

Amazing Views
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/29/06
We totally lucked out and visited the Space Needle on a perfectly clear day. I got some amazing pictures and we even saw Mt. Rainier which we were told is unusual. They have guided tours at the top so we learned a lot about Seattle. I was impressed by the gift shop and I liked the fact they took pictures of you before you went up the elevator ...
We took our daughter and her boy friend to dinner for her 18th birthday!! The view was to die for. The staff was absolutely wonderful and the food was perfect. What more could you ask for. Go, have fun and enjoy the food and the view.
The whole area there in the middle of Seattle is a great place to visit. The Space Needle is a wonderful piece of engineering. From the top you can see so much. There are seaplanes taking off and landing in a marina to the south-west of the needle and they come in to land lower than where you're standing, that's pretty cool. Also, the ...

A wonderful experience, almost ruined by a tire fire
Years ago, I would guess about 1975-7, my wife and I had a lovely dinner at the top of the space needle at twilight. Back then the evening cost us about $100, worth every penny. I don't recall what we ate, but it was excellent, and I'm a bit picky.
Seeing the whole city rotate below and around us was undescribable. You have to try it ...

Splendid view of the city!

No doubt the best place to see Seattle and its surroundings from the top. A definite must-see for anyone stepping foot in this "land of Starbucks". Its futuristic design makes for a wonderful photo backdrop. Getting there is as simple as hopping onto the monorail from the downtown shopping complex. There are friendly guides at the ...

An expensive elevator ride
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/11/06
You pay way to much for what is really just a 500 foot elevator ride. The food at the top is not good and just as expensive. And if you go on a cloudy day, and most the days in Seattle are, you really don't see much. Not that Seattle has that much to see.
Geesh! $14 for one adult and I think $7 for a child 4 and older. That gets expensive for just going up the space needle and looking at the city. It was a cool experience but man, the food was way over priced. Then they make you pose for a picture and try to sell it to you when you go back down.
