  • Richmond at it's finest
    By Metal Bitch, 09/19/08
If you are not a huge civil war fan and would not enjoy seeing articles of clothing, weapons, artwork and don't enjoy reading about the civil war don't bother to purchase the museum tickets. The museum is alot of reading and is very detailed (if your a huge fan your gonna love it!) Lots of personal items form Robert E Lee, JEB Stuart, ...

I'm really into Civil War history and this was a fantasitc place with a lot of artifacts belonging to some of the best known Southern Civil War generals such as Stonewall Jackson, J.E.B. Stuart, Robert E Lee. Very interesting place

  • Can't wait to return to your museum and Richmond again soon...
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/23/08
I can never dislike anything about civil war history...I regret that I was not able to get back up during R.E. Lee's year long anniversary and view all of his affects you had on display...All the talk about moving the museum I think is a bad deal...Half the fun of visiting the museum is finding it and getting a feel for downtown Richmond...So much I did not get to see and do and hope to get a second chance soon...

  • A Great Historical Place
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/15/05
I have always liked history and genealogy and I feel that Richmond is not capitalizing on its past history. It has so many good things to offer. When it comes to Civil War History, some of the people still believe that it is holding them back. 99.99% of the people have forgotten the civil war, but there are certain people in this town that still ...
