Nothing fascinating about this structure. It was a plain arch, topped by an eagle, over the broad State St. Looking towards the north, you can see the Utah State Capitol through the arch. Unfortunately, at the time of my visit, the State Capitol was under renovation, with a towering crane next to it, so that spoils what would otherwise be a perfect picture.
