This is a very small store front restaurant, but the food is worth the crowding.

They have a hugh variety of sushi - from traditional to modern to local influence. All of it was well prepared and the service was also good.

I highly reccomend this sushi bar! I've been to a lot of sushi bars across the nation and this one by far is my favorite. It is a great place for sushi and non-sushi lovers, the choices on the menu are countless and thier dessert tray never ceases to amaze me.

They say that for every negative review, there are number of unwritten positive accounts.

    This is positive.

I've been an Annapolitan for over 20 years now, and having been to dozens of sushi joints in and around both beltways - capitol and baltimore, I can say that Joss is, by far, my favorite. There have been complaints of the parking ...

I have been to a number of sushi places in the Annapolis area, the Towson Area, and in L.A., but Joss is still the number one favorite.
Parking has never been a problem for me. When I would go we would either park in the parking garage for $2, along a side street for free, or behind the private school next to the church. Personally, I don't ...

No, never Nano's. I'd got to Tsunami's before Nano's. In fact, I'd eat Italian before Nano's.

In my experience, Joss has been great. I have only had their vegetarian options, but they are so fresh and reasonably priced that it's my favorite restaurant downtown. Seating is claustrophobic, be warned, and don't even try to park on Main Street--try the back streets and walk.

Definitely not the best sushi in Annapolis. Terrible service and the sushi is just mediocre. I would suggest Nano Sushi a few doors down from Joss. Do not eat here unless you want bad sushi!

If you're a sushi enthusiast, this is THE BEST sushi in the US. Having traveled the country on business, I always look for good sushi restaurants. There are others that have better decor, more seating, better parking, etc on all of the other "non-essentials", but Joss has the freshest tasting, most creative, and widest variety of ...

Along with good sushi, the staff at Joss really made a good impression. They seemed enthusiastic, greeting people and sounding happy to have them there. Many restaurants that have some type of greeting routine end up sounding just that, routine, but the staff at Joss maintained their enthusiasm.

This is the best sushi place in Annapolis. The sushi is consistently good. I have eaten Unagi, tuna sashimi, and a lot of sushi here. It was all good. Good sushi is hard to find in the Annapolis area. You can find better sushi and more authentic food in the city, but this is as good as it gets in Annapolis.
