I like that everything you want to see is free, free, FREE! The temple in itself is an amazing architectural building built in the 1800's. The paintings, conference center, and temple are gorgeous. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. What I disliked is that sometimes people are too friendly and try to make it a worship session rather then a tour. You're missing out if you don't see this place!

I really can't believe that the Temple Square is actually a tourist attraction. It was bad!!! I will never go there in my life again and I know when I tell my family and friends they won't either. It's your choice what you want to do! Good Luck!!!

Lots to see
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/26/05
I'm LDS and I had a blast at Temple Square. There is free two hour parking at the malls next door. The temple is beautiful. I felt totally safe there, except for all the construction work across the street going on is kind of a pain, and I had to walk in the street a litte. Really spritual experience. The lds museum is great.
One of the best things about visiting SLC is all the church history sites. For one thing, they are free! For another, you learn some history. Temple Square's best features are the statue of the Christus and the amazing accoustics in the Tabernacle.

Beautiful Place

I have lived In Salt Lake City my whole life and I think that Temple Square is one of the most, if not THE most, incredible place in the valley. the best time to visit is probably in May. I must say though that it can get kind of annoying after awhile when you have missionaries everywhere that talk alot.

I love this place!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/04/05
It is an amazing place. I am from Russia but I went to SLC in 2002 and visited Temple Square thousand times. Then I came back in 2003-2004, it is A Marvelous Work and A Wonder. Now, I am planning to come to SLC in the end of September and stay till the end of October. I want to visit the Temple Square and its surroundings as much as I can. It is a spiritual place, I LOVE IT!!!! Go and feel it!!!
