  • Great Experience
    By grrlpower3, 11/04/06
If you are coming to Utah, Temple Square is the number one place to see. It really is beautiful, especially if you're lucky enough to come during Christmas time. It's beautiful and everyone is very friendly. You'll have to encounter the anti-mormon protesters a lot of the time, but they don't bother you if you don't talk to them. If you aren't LDS, it's a great learning experience about the Mormon church.

It was awesome. We were treated like royalty and always greeted with a warm smile. I was amazed at how clean the city was and how beautiful the flowers looked. We enjoyed every moment there!

Fascinating architecture, beautiful buildings, big open spaces, cooling fountain, the heart of the birthplace of a city - this is Temple Square! Insightful free guided tours by a pair of soft-spoken, ever-smiling Mormon "Sisters".

  • Peace on Earth
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/23/06
I have been in very few places in this world that offer the serenity and peace of Temple Square in Salt Lake City. I don't know what it is but it makes me feel good to just be there. The tours are informative, the guides are friendly to the extreme and the grounds are beautiful with all of the Christmas lights, Nativity and decorations. If you ...

I loved the people there...they were so friendly and it was intersting to hear about the mormon church and what they believe. Everyone was smiling and they all looked so content. Definetly a place to take your children.

There is a great place to take pictures on up by the fountains. It has a bridal ring for great couple pictures. The area is very safe. I could see families going there in the dark and being very safe. Great place to get engaged so romantic. There is a Statue of Joseph and Emma up by the fountains also. Look in Joseph's hand. We went in ...
