The Alamo was great. The only bad was the surronding area. The City needs to clean better and clean off the grafiti all around. Overall nice experiance, but skip the Guiness world record museam, its a rip off.

I'm sorry but I hated that place! I would not recommende it.! It was intersting and all but you still their and listen to a guy talking for hours. In the hot sun.
The Alamo was very rich with history and informative information. Just standing in the middle of one of the rooms of the exhibits of the Alamo makes you feel you went back in time and your there feeling the history and events that went on. It was fantastic! I really enjoyed it.

Living in San Antonio for 6 years was great. The one big thing I remember the most is going downtown to visit the Alamo. As you walk up to it you get a feeling of what it was like before when San Antonio was 15 miles down the river. Once you walk into the doors of the Mission everyone just becomes wide eyed and very quite. You gaze into those small ...
I can't imagine going to San Antonio, and not visiting the Alamo. This is a huge piece of American history. You can spend hours reading about all the things that happened here. It's also FREE! Try to go down there when the musuem in the barracks is open. You have all kinds of neat artifacts like old uniforms, swords, muskets, knives, ...

Being in the room where the surviving women and children were....seeing the line on the bricks where David Crocket and the Tennessee volunteers manned the palisades to the Long Barracks where many of the ...

I have studied the Alamo for six months. You can ask me anything about it and you bet you'll get the right answer. I don't see why you don't have this landmark and battlesight as a five star destination. I hope you will change your mind after you read a girl's opinion. Thanks for reading ya'll, A fellow Texan

A Crockett Kid's dream comes True!
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 02/29/08
I was eight years old during the "Davy Crockett Craze" of the mid-1950s. Walt Disney's TV programs and movie, "Davy Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier" was an important part of my introduction to U.S. history. For Christmas of '55 or '56 my parents got me the Davy Crockett at the Alamo toy set. As I grew up--and ...
