  • The Alamo
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/20/04
This was the highlight of my trip to San Antonio. I got to see a lot of interesting historical sites, like the other missions, but the Alamo tells a story that is as inspiring as any every told. The fight for liberty and against tyranny resulted in death to all those that defended the Alamo, but as a result of their heroism Texas was able to gain ...

  • The Alamo Experience!!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/14/04
Walking into this historical building, knowing the sacrifices that were made there was almost overwhelming! The pride, the joy, the confidence, the sadness, the strength were all parts of the numerous emotions experienced in this great historical facility. It was almost like walking back in time. This was just a fabulous experience and I will go ...

  • Much More to See than You'd Expect
    By Crazy Father, 06/27/07
Recently went for the first time. Thought I'd only be there at max an hour, but there's just so much to see you could spend hours there. It was really fasinating reading up on the history. Really enjoyed going into the sanctuary (the actual Alamo). The whole things also free, which is so surprising. Everyone should visit at least once in their lives.

  • "Remember the Alamo"
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/08/06
What I loved about the Alamo was that it is so great how a historic building can still be standing and that men loved our country to fight for it and sacrifice thier own life. When i first went to the Alamo, i expected I huge building, surrounded by nothing, but when i visited the Alamo, i found that it was quite little in size, but filled with ...

  • A day of Awwww
    By Dolphin, 05/09/08
Living in San Antonio for 6 years was great. The one big thing I remember the most is going downtown to visit the Alamo. As you walk up to it you get a feeling of what it was like before when San Antonio was 15 miles down the river. Once you walk into the doors of the Mission everyone just becomes wide eyed and very quite. You gaze into those small ...

  • Awesome!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/24/08
I have studied the Alamo for six months. You can ask me anything about it and you bet you'll get the right answer. I don't see why you don't have this landmark and battlesight as a five star destination. I hope you will change your mind after you read a girl's opinion. Thanks for reading ya'll,
    A fellow Texan

  • Clean the grafiti
    By New Mexican, 07/09/08
The Alamo was great. The only bad was the surronding area. The City needs to clean better and clean off the grafiti all around.
Overall nice experiance, but skip the Guiness world record museam, its a rip off.
