What a fantastic historic site! We really enjoyed the Alamo. We took the kids to see the IMAX movie on the Alamo before we visited and this really helped them to understand what happened there. I suggest visiting as soon as it opens in the morning as it gets very busy in the summer.

Go early. Truly a great place to visit. The grounds are beautiful and shady. Very rich in history.
