If you go to The Alamo you will be disappointed about it, It is small and insignificant. I think it is bored because I can't say it is a museum or something like that, I think The Alamo is nothing at all.

I JUST DON'T GET IT!!!!!
By jimbo, 11/12/05
i heard about it for years. so i went to see it for myself. i don't get it. it is an old building where texas get whipped during a war. i don't know why they keep it standing. it just brings back painful memories. the good thing is that it cost nothing to see it. but i recomend the boat ride on the river walk.

Loved it

The alamo is great. There is this great spirit about being there. You can really feel the heroism of the people that died there. Keep your voices down while there or you will get screamed at by the tour guides.

Could be better... Could be worse...

If you are a Texas History Buff, you will be sadly disappointed that there is not more information available. If you are there just to see it, or to pick up trinkets to send to family and friends, have no fear!
Personally, I was disappointed that there was not an informational tour, but just being there was such a thrill. It is such a major part of Texas history, that I decided to try to overlook what it was lacking.

Don't miss the Alamo
By Creese, 08/01/05
The Alamo is very nice. The landscaping and grounds are beautiful and lush. It is a definite must see. Obviously it is a pivotal part of Texas History. When you're walking on the grounds, acknowledging what happened there, you become grateful for what those men did in fighting for our freedom.

So-So

If you're not a history buff(I'm not) you might not be too thrilled with the place. The landscaping is beautiful and clean. I thought the film was boring, and was not that excited once I got there. Once I got to the Riverwalk I was in heaven! I would not soley go to San Antonio for the Alamo, I would go there soley for the Riverwalk, and then if you're up to it, check out the Alamo. History Buffs will probably enjoy it.
