The Riverwalk best features were its walkways and boat tour along with some of the restaurants. The Alamo and other shops were in close walking distance and worth seeing. The landscaping could use some improvement. It wasn't quite as nice as I expected on the outside. There was lots of construction around the area and some graffiti near ...

I just came back from meeting my boyfriend in San Antonio since we live far apart and what a surprise. The purpose for visiting was to attend a George Lopez concert but the town was breathtaking! The Riverwalk was such a delight, we took a riverboat tour which was so much fun and it lets you see the whole river. You can walk along it also and eat ...
But dirty like the rest of San Antonio. Great Night clubs like Howl at the Moon and Dirty Nellie's, Cahin restuarants and sucky Mexican places(especailly Cafe Ole), recommend out of downtown or Mrket Street for better Mexicna food.
Loved the whole Riverwalk. Beautiful! I loved the people and the atmospere. As if everyone knew everyone.

The best of San Antonio
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/24/09
My husband and I visited River Walk in May 2009, We were both extremely pleased by what we found. It is an amazing place to visit and we truly enjoyed being able to walk for hours and just enjoy the beauty and tranquillity in the middle of a bustling city. We had lunch at one of the resturants along the canal, the food was excellent, the beer nice ...
My husband and I just returned on 5/25 from San Antonio. The Riverwalk was beautiful. We took a guided boat tour and loved it. Our guide was very friendly and entertaining. He gave us a ton of historical information that was interesting.
We ate at one of the Mexican restaurants along the river which was very good. People are friendly and ...

Great romantic weekend
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/05/09
My hubby and I try to go once a year for a long wkend without the kids. We are coming from Dallas and it is a little far (almost 5 hrs) but worth it. Cute, fun and romantic. Not a lot ton to do but enought for a great wkend. I would not bring the kids (8 and 6) unless I was going to add an amusement park to the mix.
The river walk really does remind me of a bit like Europe with the amphitheater seating area and the random medieval walls. It has a narrow pathway but it does provide for a really nice walk along the river.
It's a must see for those new to San Antonio. We also found other pretty cool places to visit near river walk here: http://www.visitsanantonio.com/visitors/play/history-heritage/index.aspx
