The river walk seems more for the adult crowd. It's a place to eat, drink and relax. There is nothing for children to do and no ramps for strollers. You should know the hotels are expensive and eating and drinking on the river isn't cheep. If you can handle all that it's the most fun, most romantic and beautiful places my husband and I ...
I go there every year fo Fiesta's in April its 20 days of fun, food, music, carnival, and lots of beer..we spend the whole weekend there its too much to see in 2 days were gonna make it a 4 day weekend next year. The Riverwalk mall is great for shopping then we go down to the food court hit Hooters up for some hot wings and some beer...walk to the ...
This was a nice area when we were out about sight seeing. There were tons of people and you really need to pay attention to where you park. Thankfully the River Walk area has directional signs on the street posts.
It is really not handicapped or stroller accessible. There is a lot of stairs so if you do not do them well you may have a hard ...

Pick the Trash up

The River walk was a great experiance. We took the boat tour, and it was great. The only bad was the trash in the river. I think the City should pay more atention to this. I would go back again.

the Riverwalk is not that family friendly, the whole area seems to aimed for singles losers. At least the increased police presence is improving the crime situation. and the river is thick as mud and plenty of trash so not very impressive.

Muggers on River/Ugly Buildings
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/27/08
The River could be natural and developed like Barton Springs was natural spring. There is San Pedro Spring in San Antonio, that is pretty pool, but not oriented to Adults and Business People. The Riverwalk, and $235 night hotels, (that were twice the price of same hotel chain in Dallas) that I stayed is constant decouraging and ugly site. ...
The Riverwalk was fantastic and with a lot of information and history! The boat ride was relaxing and with incredible scenic breathtaking views! Our tour guide was great!

The riverwalk is my most favorite place to be! It is absolutely beautiful! There is so much to do & see. The atmosphere is wonderful! My husband & I had our honeymoon there & go back every chance we get! The kids love it too. The hotels are pricey, but well worth it. I have been there many, many times & stayed in several different hotels (Marriott Riverwalk is the best) & I've never had a bad experience.
