We go to San Antonio a couple times a year for Sea World. We took a detour here recently. It is kind of neat, though I imagine it is a drag if it is crowded and the animals overfed (we went in November and there were only a few visitors at the time). It is a bit pricey, but not too bad if you use a coupon and don't get any of the upsell ...
Just love going to the wildlife ranch with my Grandchildren. They love love love going. Live at New Braunfels and have a season pass. Won't go on weekends or summer tourist time. Way to crowded with long lines of cars. Great when you are able to go at the "off times".
I was with my 3 oldest grandaughters and we laughed and screamed at the animals. we had such a good time..the animals try to stick their head in your car windows...for food..the girls really enjoyed it...want to say I will be back someday...but I live in new york..but Maybe...it would be worth it...it is costly but so much fun...and you only live ...

Dissapointed

I was excited about visiting Wildlife Ranch , but when I got there it was not what I spected and it is expensive. I wonder why do they charge per person, if I am driving my own car.

Petting zoo, NO...petting goats! NOTHING else!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/18/09
Okay, Let me start by saying that it's way over priced! Maybe those of u that liked it live in a concrete jungle, bc it was NOT at all what the advertisements made it out to be! The petting zoo was a huge joke. The variety of animals was disappointing to say the least. Basicly we spend almost $100 for my husband to drive 5mph while my kids ...

UNIQUE AND AMAZING EXPERIENCE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/24/09
After travelling from Australia to Texas I had no idea of what to expect. I was taken to the ranch by a local and was amazed at what was there. There was no lengthy waits the prices of admission were cheap in comparisons to others zoos and wildlife parks in Australia. The collection of animals here was better than most places I have been. To be ...
I WOULD NEVER RECOMEND this place to anyone. Unless you are rich! $17.00 PER ADULT and $10.50 Per KID!!! AND the 2 HOUR WAIT TO drive in this place was UNREAL!!!!! They had no signs to let you know what it cost to go in this place, and we found out about this place threw the informaton center in by the Alamo, and they told us it was $11.00 for an ...
We have been there 2 times and can't wait until we go again in March. If you are into coupons you can normally find one in the visitors guide that you can pick up all around the city. We always buy an extra bag of food just to have. We never feel rushed or hurried. You can pull off so other cars can pass you if you want to stop and look. ...
We did not visit the animal ranch but the caverns instead. I've been to lots of caverns in my life (originally from PA), but I never tire of them. These were magnificent and the tour we went on was fun, informative, and reasonably priced.
I was disappointed to see how much the other things cost, though. My husband really wanted to climb ...

Was hurried through
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/01/07
I would prefer to go to a zoo where the animals can see you too, more than your head in a car. The cars are rushed through. If you get out of the car it is against the park rules and somebody appears to tell you to get back in.
The food they distribute to feed the animals, which they say is "alfalfa" is part birdseed. Birdseed is ...
