We won't go back to Durty Nelly's. The bar tender was rude and would not answer questions. She acted like she would really like us to leave. Every other bar was full and Durty Nelly's was totally empty. I think I know why. Not a good experience in an otherwise wonderful visit to the River Walk.

The piano player is a hoot. It is a fun little bar with beer, peanuts and loud singing!! DEFINITELY make a trip to this cute little Irish pub which you are on the Riverwalk. I make it a point to stop by every time I am in town! :)

Durty Nelly's has been a Riverwalk staple since the 70's, and is still a fun place for groups. Single or not this is a great bar! Fun on your own, with friends, or your spouse. Get ready for some good beer and a lot of laughs. ;)

I have an opportunity to return to San Antonio with "my boss," and have threatened her with taking her there. Meanwhile, to make good on my threat, I needed to check to see if this pub was still operating. Hooray! It's still there with, it sounds like, the same "talented" pianist who was there 12 (ohmyGod, was it twelve??) years ago. Look forward to another "round" at Durty Nelly's!!

I love Durty Nelly's. I have been there twice. Every time I am in San Antonio it's a must to hit this bar. The atmosphere is great. The piano players are so much fun and so are the bartenders. I would recommend this bar to anyone wanting to have a great time at night down on the Riverwalk.

Found it one night I was in town on business. Had the most fun ever.
The piano player gets the crowd involved, he has people who come in sit with others when it gets crowded. I was there once right after 9-11 and had piano player play "God Bless the USA" Everyone was on their feet hugging everyone else. Great place to have a great time. Right on the Riverwalk.
