Excellent margaritas! Food is great. Salsa is different from most Mexican restaurants and is very good. Service is prompt and courteous. Heaters make outside dining pleasant during colder months.

We were in San Antonio for my son's graduation from Lackley and did not know where to go for take out. I asked our receptionist where we were staying and she suggested the La Fogata on Vance Jackson. We ordered a small variety for take out and were very impressed with the food and service, will definitelly return again.

We have been to La Fogata several times for dinner always getting the same great food and service. They always treat their customers in a warm and curtious manner. The last time there we were a group of nine celebrating my aunts 90th birthday. The normally great service was over the top for us and especially her. The food was excellent, we left there all smiles.

Being from Texas I have eaten lots of Mexican food. This is, by far, the best Mexican food I have ever eaten. After eating at LaFogata everything else tastes like TV dinners. The restaurant has great ambiance including the option to eat on the patio while listening to a mariachi band or eating inside. Prices were very pleasing for the quality of food. While the restaurant is off the beaten path it is well worth the drive.

With so many fine Mexican Restaurants in San Antonio, it's hard to say which one is the best. It simply comes down to personal preference. Personally, I think La Fogata is one of the best. Good food, good service, nice atmosphere, reasonably priced. I like the fact that it's away from the tourist attractions, in a neighborhood called Dellview. I go to La Fogata everytime I'm in San Antonio and I've never been disappointed.
