Went for their famous Sunday brunch and the line to order was about 15 people long. It moved at a snail's pace, so I expected our order to take forever. Thankfully it didn't. Hi its Rene the owner of Madhatters and I want to apologize for the time we have not met your expectations. For 12 years we have been offering San Antonio a neat place to come and eat and relax. Sometimes we drop the ball but we are all comitted to our customers and friends. Thanks for all your support!!

I enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and friendly staff. I will return again quite often. It has been very hard to find a place here in town that is as relaxing and charming as Madhatters.

The food is awesome. A friend of mine took me there a few days ago for the first time and I'm going back with my girlfriend today for some more. I'm so glad I found this place. Loved everything about it. The Desserts are to die for.

Good spot to chill
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/20/07
This is a little cozy place with some character and fun. Whimsy with a twist of coffee shop flair. Slightly 80's decor with a tad of the get it yourself thrown in. The tea is wonderful. They do overcharge for the loose tea to take with you. So. Get it on line somewhere else. But. It is nice to go out and have a real pot of tea. I have sampled ...

Best salads in the city!
By megsies, 05/21/07

The desserts are downright delectable too, but that spoils my point of going for the salad, so I try to save them for "special occasions". Also a frequent destination of hungry Alamo City Rollergirls on a ...

HORRID SERVICE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/29/07
It's pretty good when the owner is in the house, but when he's not, the service really stinks.
I seldom have encountered a more uncaring, unwilling, downright unhelpful staff.

Ok i only take people there that i think they might enjoy it. most of the time dont. i happen to enjoy it very much so with wholesome people. with a good pj SANDWICH and fresh not to mention flavored tea and free wireless interenet with very comfortable seating listening to frank sinatra. life couldnt get better. rosh and i only go there once in a while. but we do enjoy the art district very much so. its right in the heart of the art strip.
