It's called fishing. You take a chance on not catching anything. It is also called a Party Boat which should give a hint that there are going to be more than a few others on board other than you. We have used Galveston Party Boats for years going on both deep sea and bay trips and have always had a good time even if not catching anything. We ...

Worst party boat
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/22/09
We have experience fishing party boats in several states. Galveston Party Boats is the worst. There was no instruction from the captain and those who were inexperienced were left to figure things out on their own. There was a full boat and only 2 deck hands. They couldn't begin to help everyone who needed assistance with the small junk fish ...

Cavelier Bay Trip
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/13/09
Went out on the 4 hour bay trip, it was an ok trip but after we started catching nothing but hard heads you would have thought the captian would have changed spots, but no such luck. My partner and I caught a couple of sharks, 2 gaftop and sand trout. Probably will book the boat next door for my next outing.
Rude desk staff. Charging for bait at peir knowing the bait was not going to be used. Way over crowed. Fished less than 4 hours, after paying $75 each for five people, I expected at least some fish. We came back with nothing. Only the [people who brought the correct fishing rigs and artificial bait caught the fish. Oh yea, the crew offered to sell ...

THIS IS A SCAM
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/22/08
My buddy drove down from Iowa for this fishing 12 hour fishing trip. On which we spent 5 hours getting to our fishing spot, we then fished for less than 3 hours. The boat had to go back early because of engine troubles. So out of a 12 hour trip we fished for less than 3 hours, needless to say I was not very happy about the whole experience. To ...

not a good experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/14/08
The front desk personnel were rude at check in, the boat was extremely crowded, half the fishing time was spent untangling my line from the people next to me. Out of a 12 hour deep sea trip, we only actually fished from 12:15pm - 2:45pm, the rest of the time was spent traveling to and from the dock. We caught a few fish, nothing to write home about...we actually did better fishing and crabbing on a pier without a "guide".

Great crew...very helpful to kids just starting out.
I'm a counselor for a non-profit foundation near Galveston. I take 30 or more teens a year on the Cavalier. The crew is always great with the teens and want them to have a successful trip. The Captain (Crazy Rick) allowed the kids to come a few at a time and visit with him. They loved it! We didn't catch many fish, but the two that did ...

Great Fishing!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/13/07
I have been a customer of Galveston Party Boats Inc for many years. Their fishing trips are reasonably priced and the service very good. The deckhands all try their best in helping the customers. Compared to the competition I would say you can't go wrong with this company. My last trip was Nov. 10-11, 2007, a 30 hours deep sea fishing trip ...

Disappointed!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/27/07
If you call, you will get the impression that there are a lot of fish being caught. They will say that this and that fish are biting. In actuality, with about 70-80 persons in the boat, they were only 6 fishes that were good enough to be keepers. The rest were catfish that were thrown back because they were trash fishes. I'm so disappointed and it's a waste of money and time!
