I love this cemetery. It is so beautiful and peaceful. It is like a museum of fine art. The tombstones and mausoleums are sculptures. Just breathe taking. I wish I could afford to make this my final resting place. However, one and only bad side to this cemetery is the neighborhood around it. Its in a very bad (worst area in Houston) part of town.

Glenwood cementery was the object of a few very fine photographs. It really is a great site to see! Incredibly historic and profound. Try it out!

This cemetery is full of all of the well-known names that helped found Houston. It is right in the middle of a huge, bustling city, yet you would not know it. It is a wonderfully peaceful place that is perfect for a quiet reflective ...

I'm a native Houstonian and from this area, and just recently drove in to see this magnificent sight. A place where I myself would'nt mind as my Permanent Resting Place.

Houston history is here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/25/04
I stumbled upon this beautiful cemetery. As I drove in, I realized that this is where many of the founders of modern day Exxon and Texaco are buried. Also, George Herman-Herman park, Howard Hughes, Mrs. Oveta Hobby. I later checked the net for others. It was raining, but I intend to put on my walking shoes and review the founders who provided the engine to modern day Houston.
