BeautifulI love this cemetery. It is so beautiful and peaceful. It is like a museum of fine art. The tombstones and mausoleums are sculptures. Just breathe taking. I wish I could afford to make this my final resting place. However, one and only bad side to this cemetery is the neighborhood around it. Its in a very bad (worst area in Houston) part of town.OVERALLAtmosphere

Great for quiet reflectionI have lived in Houston since I was born, but it was only recently that I disci=overd some of the wonderful cemeteries in houston. Glenwood contains the graves of some of houston's founders and its most prominent citizens. It is what you imagine a cemetery should be. Houston history is here!I stumbled upon this beautiful cemetery. As I drove in, I realized that this is where many of the founders of modern day Exxon and Texaco are buried. Also, George Herman-Herman park, Howard Hughes, Mrs. Oveta Hobby. I later checked the net for others.
