A wonderful Clear Lake experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/17/05
Space Center Houston is really AWESOME! You meet tour guides who really have met some of the astronauts. They are courteous and a great source of information. Located on NASA Road 1, this facility is located in "Clear Lake" which is 1/2 way between city:Houston and Galveston, TX. Space Center really represents our country and the people ...

Impressed!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/12/05
Level 9 tour is extremely well done and includes visiting half a dozen buildings where the real stuff is going on. Not inexpensive but limited tour size allows one to learn a lot from a very attentive guide that is very knowledgeable.

Had a GREAT time!
By Vulture Slayer, 03/26/06
There is so much educational material/exhibits to explore. There is a HUGE playcenter for the kids (believe me, you won't be able to get them to get off it!), also a big indoor eating area with lots of different foods to choose from, there is a Starbucks booth just outside the eating area, shuttle simulator ride, Starship Gallery movie about ...

Everything I expected & more
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/30/05
Of course there are exhibits about Space... There's a very educational (& NOT boring) tour of NASA... My 8yr old son thought it was the best thing. My 10 yr old daughter wasn't even bored. Fun things to do & see. Only thing I am none too impressed with was the cost of food. The cost of souvenirs is about what I expected, though.

You gotta go here
By Aaron A, 08/24/05
I'm from Houston and whenever I bring people from out of town here, one of the places I take them to see is NASA. This is almost a give-in. After seeing all the movies with the space program and such, you have to go see where it all happens on the ground.

I'm a fan of space research, and the Space Center is for me like Disneyland for kids.

Enjoyable day
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/16/06
The visitors center is designed mostly for the enjoyment of children, but there are some interesting exhibits for adults also. Take the tram tour early, and then repeat it later in the day if you wish (you can get seats on the opposite side as the first time to get different photos, and you'll know where in the group to be to get the best ...
