My favorite hometown thing to do its the best i go every single year its the houston peeps trdition and the largest rodeo event so take a visit.

I enjoyed the pig races with the funny little pigs running around the ring. There was also a pig judging contest. The exhibitor, usually a teenager, was considered in the judgment along with the pig.

There were valuable black angora rabbits there too.

I believe that everyone should go to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo at least once a year. It is every little girls dream to see a Barrel Racer run "as fast as lightning". It is a wonderful family experience. :)

The 2006 rodeo was outstanding. It is very clean and well managed. I took my 2 children and they loved all the rides and the petting zoo. My oldest daughter loved watching the kids do the livestock show and now shr has joined the FFA at C.E.King High School. Overall it is a family place and lots to do for everyone.

I loved the whole thing!! The rodeo is exciting and entertaining. I have gone for many years and have taken my kids also! The performers they get to perform are outstanding but we want george back! If you dont mind the smell of livestock I suggest youput this in on your to do list of Houston.

I personaly like the Rodeo in Houston, I also show my animals in the livestock show in Houston. But the way the vollunteers put the whole thing togeather, shocks me. And it really shows what Texas is about...food, animals, and fun, which describes the rodeo exactly..
