The Miller Outdoor Theater is a wonderful way to spend a Friday or Saturday evening...for free! We have never been disappointed in a show!

I always attend events at the theatre during the summer because they are free! How else can you hear great music or watch Elizabethan Shakespeare at such a low price? They offer every type of event you can imagine so check it out for a fun night out with friends or a romantic date in the park. Special events are offered during they day for kids too. It's close to the zoo, so you can zoom over there after the theatre!

I've been going since I was a little kid and no matter what age, It's always a great time. Just good, safe fun with family and friends!
I love the atmosphere, the jazz music, the outdoor theater. The best time to visit is during the summer when the kids can play and you can relax.

You get free shows here, at no charge! It's great, we came to see plays and movies. People sit wherever they want on the lawn with their picnic blankets laid out.
You can get food from concession stands, or bring your own. Some people even bring mini-grills to slap some hot dogs and such on. I love it!
Beware, though, of bad weather or bugs. If you come, check the weather first, and bring some bug repellant.
everything is within walking distance, very representative of the city, zoo and museums nearby, shows are entertaining and high quality, except for the hot weather, great place to visit and walk .

I really think Miller is a terrific idea; however, it is SO hard to hear the actors on the stage. I went for a Shakespeare play and sat at the top of the hill--couldn't hear. Could barely see them, furthermore. So we moved closer, as close as you can get on the grassy knoll without toppling into a concrete crevice, and STILL couldn't hear very well. It was fun, though, although this mainly depends on your company. :)
The Miller Outdoor Theater is a really good place to take your family. They offer really good free concerts and programs, not to mention special events for holidays.
