  • We will miss the pier.
    By Texans!, 10/26/09
Like the last guy said, the pier will be missed. It was previously destroyed by tropical storms Francis and Allison and rebuilt each time. The last pier was asuper pier, much higher off the ground, but unfortunately Hurricane Ike hit it almost dead on and wiped it off the face of the earth. Thanks to Governor Hair, there will not be another.

  • An awesome place that will be sorely missed
    By PC, 06/21/09
It was the best place in Galveston area to catch big game and sharks from the pier! Too bad Hurricane Ike forever changed the topography and destroyed the area. The pier is no more and non existent. Their web page is no more and the the workers took jobs elsewhere.
The pier is gone but not forgotten.

I love it, because it is very relax. The people are nice, and if you need to be alone there is always a spot open!
