To the person who only gave this place 2 stars: Get a life. If you can't stand the smell of fresh fish get outa Houston. Try one of those places you have to hold your pinky out while you sip your tea instead. That will just leave more great food for the rest of us!
For that matter don't go to Sonny Bryan's Barbeque in Dallas or Joe T. Garcias in Ft. Worth or Dirty's on the drag in Austin either!

I adore this place!! I hurt myself everytime I go there, but the food is so good, I can't make myself quit. They'll bring you samples of red beans and rice, gumbo and hush puppies (which are excellent). Their boudan balls are incredible and I haven't tried one thing there yet that I don't like. I went to college in Lake Charles and have eaten cajun food all over the entire state. I've eaten at holes in the wall, and at high end places like Mike 's in Baton Rouge, but the Crazy Cajun is THE BEST CAJUN FOOD IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!!!!

Although the first time we pulled up to the restaraunt, I told my husband, " I don't think so!!!" But I then thought OH DON'T BE SUCH A SNOB!!! The food is great and the people who work there are wonderful! The owner is very friendly. U won't find nicer people anywhere, And have I mentioned they have the absolute best crawfish ...

When we first walked in, the place was stinking like dead fish. We should have walked out right then. The decor was terrible, like they did not have the $$ to fix the place up..Don't do it.

no live zydeco or blues band, however there is a wonderful selection of the same type music playing via CD through speakers throughout the rest.
