Great for the kids and they have added to it since I had been a kid. The staff was really great and very knowledgable. The store has good prices and for three dollars to get in per child it is really worth the money,

disapointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/29/07
I remembered the log cabins when i was a child . now that i grew up i took my child and was so disapointed. I disliked the fact that it was boring not many people there talked and told stories of the old days. there was no candle making like they use to do it. it was so not worth the money.

Yesteryear Today!

I was very impressed with all aspects of the Log Cabin Village! The costumed guides in particular were extremely knowledgable, friendly and excelled at communicating historic facts and responding to questions. As a history buff this little wooden oasis exemplified the perfect opportunity for me to step back to a simpler, nostalgic way of life. Thanks for some great memories! Ken Ward

Part of the family!

Though I haven't been to the Log Cabin Village in a while, my family took our old girlscout troop one year. My grandfather came along, because his family's old log cabin is on display there. Not only did they welcome us, they allowed him to go behind the screen, and tell stories firsthand to visitors. It was a wonderful experience!

I have never been a history buff. I went to the Log Cabin Village with my daughters 4th grade class for there field trip. I found that it was very interesting and so did all of the kids. We all enjoye it very much. It is well worth the trip and I told my husband that we would have to go back.

History in Action
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/10/04
Log Cabin Village gives the 21st Century dweller a taste of the life experienced by settlers on the Texas prairie. The historical interpreters love what they are doing - telling history to those of us who need to learn it. The collection of buildings gives the viewer an overview of life from the one room "have-nots" to the two story ...

Log Cabin Village in Trinity Park is a nice way to spend an afternoon.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/27/04
My family and I really enjoyed the walk through the cabins on a beautiful fall afternoon. All the volunteers were very knowledgeable and friendly and the prairie dresses worn by the gift shop ladies were gorgeous. We loved the grist mill cabin the best, but all the cabins were different and very interesting. It was fun to see how the settlers ...
