They have the best ribs there. They must smoke them for hours. Their daily special is always the best bargain! There is always a great happy crowd- but always a great table!

Only thing I don't like is the fact that you have to order french fries as a seperate item. Can't get it on a plate menu.

All the EXTRAS??
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/27/07
Make sure your husbands and fathers don't go to the railhead too often -they might get more than BBQ, maybe a side of skin. Even my ugly brother has been hit on by a couple of the waitresses - Brandi(?) and she wasn't in a glass....... But he said her service was $$ and her value was free, I guess that is -$. He forgot about the food and since she met him outside I don't think the ambiance was accounted for.

We can't wait to find a good BBQ in Texas. The Railhead is, at best, mediocre. The meat was tough, service slow, and the order counter was almost hostile. I totally agree with another review that stated Famous Dave's was much better (and they are out of---- shudder---Minnesota). If Texas gets the meats right, then the sauce is terrible, and vice versa. Wake up Railhead, you have a long way to go.

Take out pleasure
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/14/07
I was in town for one night and asked the hotel guy for good BBQ. No hesitation -"Railhead" he said. I had the ribs and sliced brisket. Both were the best I've ever had! I had the wisdom to get the sausages to bring back to family in MN. The links were big and full of great flavor. Railhead Smokehouse is enough reason in itself to go back to Fort Worth.

I Must be missing something
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/13/07
I've been twice, just to give it the benefit of the doubt. The second time was worse than the first. Ask for help with ordering if you don't understand the hanging menu, otherwise you may not get what you want. The employees wont offer any help either. As far as the food is concerned, its just average. I've tried the choped beef, ...

Bring on them ribs!

I love the Railhead Smokehouse restaurant. My favorite is the rib sandwich. I only hope Heaven has such! Every time we go to Fort Worth we try to get there. For us, it's an eighty mile trip to get the BEST barbeque in the world. The service is unsurpassable. To top it all off, it's a fun place to dine.

The Brisket and rib are excellent. Don't like the potatoe salad. Did not get enough food for the price. Have hard time to find a parking space and the line is very long and service was slow. I will go through drive thru from now on. You get more food by ordering by the pound.

Railhead IS Texas BBQ
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/13/06
This place is so good that, five years ago, when we got back to town after our honeymoon, we set our bags inside the front door of our house, closed and locked it, and headed for Railhead. Best BBQ on the planet, no lie. Cold beer. Totally Texas atmosphere. Friendly folks. Ain't nuthin' better. Just las night we got takeout from the ...
