What I love about Arbor Hills is that not only is it a wide expanse of open land and trails, but it's also a great place to take a bike. Not only is there plentiful space on the concrete trails for those of you who have street bikes but there are also some great mountain biking and natural trails that you can go riding on. The natural trails ...
A great place to disconnect from the stress and be in contact with Nature. Wonderful for family and kids, for people who want to run or walk...It also has nice areas for picnic. If you prefer the park with flowers, I think it would be better during the Spring; there were hardly any when we went. Beautiful, anyway :)
This is such a great place to go run, walk, and de-stress! I was hooked after the first visit. I found out about it from a friend and I have passed the word on to my friends as well. The trail is very well kept and there are tons of bunnies running around. It has several trails that you can go on, so you can decide from a .4 mile distance up to almost 3 miles. There are several picnic areas and a playground for the kids.
Arbor hills is a totaly serene break from dallas. There are off trails, concrete trails, and bike trails. It is so fun. You can play in the rivers, and watch 4 wild life. This awesome experience is totaly free. It is the perfect place 2 unwind & think bout life. I recomend this 2 evry person out there.
It is a truly relaxing atmosphere....very pretty surroundings and very clean. Great paths for walking, jogging, biking and of course Greyhound walking! I would highly recommend this park.
Arbor Hills is a great place for someone who is looking to run hills. It has a nice wide path that is never too busy. It's a challenging run for any fitness level. The longest route is 2.1 miles with the shorter route being around 1 mile.
I also like the fact that the restrooms are clean and useable. White Rock Lake should take some notes on how to keep public restrooms useable.
I just took my two grandchildren (ages 7 and 10) to the Preserve. We all enjoyed the trails and the observation tower. I think there is a great need for signs along the trails. We begun to wonder if we would just go in circles and never get out.
the children spotted several interesting birds and enjoyed the play area. pat
