My soul is here!It is a soul stirring moment to see the proud
statues at the front of the memorial and then
see the representation of their fate in America. We must hold on to our history for
it teaches us and leads us to knowledge and compassion for those who have gone before us.
The words and artwork are indeed beautiful to

MovingThis memorial is amazing. I find it an enriching experience each time I visit. This place is my escape from the modern high pace lifestyle many of us live. The artist truely captures the essence of slavery. I have never seen anything like it. How challenging is it to create and portray something you have not personally lived?
