I can never figure out why this festival takes place the hottest time of the year, why not in the Fall. The overall festival lacks everything, but what else is there to do in Dallas this time of the year.

More excitement watching TV.

Like many of the other reviewers... I ended up eating at an existing restaurant in the westend. I don't know what it was about the 'festival' but it just seemed to lack pazzaz. There was no excitement in the air... just people moping around after paying an arm and a leg to park. I went because I ride a motorcycle and I can park ...

Looking forward to going back!

What's not to like? There's great food at every turn, free cooking classes, and great music! The variety of cuisine in the Dallas area stands toe to toe with the other major metropolitan areas of the country. Texas is more than Tex-Mex and b-b-q. There's a wide variety of cuisines from all over the world. When you've had your ...

Horse Riding
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/10/06
I agree Dallas does need to touch up. One of the things I like doing here as a resident is going to the Spaghetti Warehouse, its not "the" ordainary place to go. You can have a romantic dinner, or go with your family. There a couple of games inside for older or younger people. You have the bar. Why not take a horse carriage ride around downtown. (you pay per ride)

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/08/06
This is too expensive for what it is. Everything costs money. The only free taste tests available were for a few energy drinks. Everything was based on a coupon system. you got 36 coupons for $20 and most everything was at least 8 or 9 coupons a beer was 15coupons and came in a plastic bottle. A few places would allow you to sample there food but ...

Plan to go next year
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/03/05
Good atmosphere. A lot of people on the street and $10 for parking, but the music was great! The tasting was a little expensive for what you got in return, but there are tons of great restaurants in the Westend to duck into and have a good moderately priced meal. We drank too much beer, but had a lot of fun and will go again next year.
