We have been to S & D many times over the years and find the food and service consistantly excellent. I have never found broiled red snapper prepared better and the cole slaw is the best I have ever had. We drive 80 mile from East Texas and it is well worth the drive. If you have never been you are missing out.

I discovered this little eatery in the 70s and it became my favorite. I never miss a chance to have the raw oysters and the fried shrimp and will drive the 100 miles for dinner. The service is great and everyone is smiling. A great experience.

I hadn't been in Dallas in years and my cousin said we just have to eat at S & D. Gumbo, Fried Shrimp, Key Lime Pie, Cole Slaw (I even loved the slaw)...the very best! A charming and comfortable atmosphere is here. Our Waiter was as great as the food. They say everything is bigger in Texas and the "heart and soul" of this restaurant (S & D Oyster Co.) couldn't be any bigger. Loved it!

I just moved back to Dallas and I'm thrilled to see the S & D Oyster Company is still here! And yes, it's as good as I remember!!!
The snapper is my favorite, but my husband enjoys the BBQ shrimp and our daughter loves the shrimp salad. This is a very un-assuming place with great service and great food! Don't miss it!!!

My parents first found S&D shortly after it opened in 1976. This quaint uptown Dallas establishment has become a fixture within the community and within my family. You will not find fresher oysters year round at any other place in Dallas. The value is incredible, the service fast and the food is delicious. You have to go to see how good it is!

Food excellent, wait staff even better. Shrimp salad I ate was wonderful.I drove 150 miles to eat here.It seems you could use more dining space, as it was really crowded. A good sign of good food, as the working class crowd was prevalent.

Very fresh seafood, no-nonsense service. One can step back and relax in the clean and simple atomosphere. Have your server make your sauce tableside - they are the professionals. Oysters, worth the wait broiled fish and great hush puppies. It feels like old Dallas and the best of New Orleans.

My family and I have been eating here since I was pretty young and I go here everytime I come to Dallas. It's like a tradition now. This is extremely Excelent food and service, the cole slaw is the best i've ever had. (and I'm not a big fan of cole slaw!) I highly recomend this restaurant to anyone and everyone!
