Took my 19 month old daughter here and we had a great time. Don't expect a fancy, state of the art facility. It's a no frills zoo, but you get to see some great animals very close up. Well worth the 8 bucks to get in. The other good thing is that they are rescued animals, so it's all for a good cause. And, my daughter loved the train ride!

I am so glad I did not believe everything I read on these reviews. Because some of these people did not give them a fair review. The Staff was very helpful and friendly. While the staff is generally unfriendly I enjoy visiting the animals. A lot of the reviews talked about how ragged the animals look; what they don't say is that ALL the animals are rescue animals. If they are a bit rough looking it's because someone else tried to keep these poor wild animals as pets. It's a fun day trip. Wear closed toe shoes and sunscreen as they walkways are not paved and there is not a lot of shade.

I loved it! They have about 300 animals; lions, tigers, monkeys, bears, cougars, leopards, jaguars, binturongs, huge tortoises, a whole reptile house, and more! This run down facility is poorly managed. The staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. I will never go back. I feel bad for the animals but the abuse you take from the staff, especially the Director and Assistant Director, is not worth the effort.
