I am a native Austin girl and this place is the pits. There are stoned and drunk people sitting all around and danceing around drums. I think they need shops, places to eat and drink (other stuff then beer). It has turned into a really bad acid trip ... I remember it when it was more about Eeyore and less about being seen with out a top on! Not ...

A great place to be free!
By corina_brook, 09/15/05
Last Visit:April 2005I took my little girl there for her 1st b-day and she loved it especially considering she is a big fan of Eeyore.I loved the way they have things for all ages and music that is mellow and soothing.I liked the part where you get to see people dressed in costumes and it doesnt matter how you come.I do not personally drink but my boyfriend does and he didnt like the prices on the beer.

The Funnest Day of the Year
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/14/05
There are few things that seem so "Austin" as Eeyore's. It is a unique event: a free-form hang-out of several thousand people... sitting, walking, playing music, beating drums, eating, drinking beer, playing games. Be yourself... there are families, dogs, tatoos, costumes, hotties, hippies, gay, straight, black, white, brown, red, ...

I love Eeyore's Birthday
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/06/05
Every year the city holds a birthday festival for Eeyore, Winnie the Pooh's good buddy. Its held at Pease Peark off Lamar Blvd, right in Central Austin. Its a huge park with lots of people drinking and partying and venders selling crafts. You can buy a tye dye t-shirt, have a beer, eat some funnel cake, get your face painted, join a drum circle, listen to some great bands, and just have a great time! Its a great Austin tradition.
