  • Just ok

Nice place but expensive to visit. Not really worth the $. Beautiful location on Lake Travis. Make sure you don't turn into Hippie Hollow like I almost did.

  • DONT WORRY ABOUT IT
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/11/07
This park is being sold anyways. I'm sure someone will come in and build some godawful home on it and ruin the beautiful scenery that should be open to the public to enjoy.

  • Avoid this park
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/11/07
Not sure of what the price problems are with this park, but one thing is for sure. It is very expensive to "visit". The "park" does not offer many amenities as opposed to the true public park next door. Although you can not camp at the true public windy point. It is much cheaper to go to. They only charge $15 per car no matter ...

  • Nice facility
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/18/07
I am not sure what others mean about value. The website clearly explains the prices, maybe some people just have a little more difficulty comprehending what they read. Windy Point is obviously not a state or public owned facility as the quality of the atmosphere is well above most government parks. The people are helpful and friendly. They ...

  • What a Joke
    By D, 07/12/07
Do not mistake this place for the LCRA public park next door. This is the private/public park and the place is a joke. They charge way too much for this place. What they don't tell you on their website is that if you want to camp that they will charge you $10 for day use on Friday, $10 to camp Firday night, $10 for day use on Saturday, $10 to ...

  • Bait and Switch
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/14/06
According to their website they have a weekday camping fee of $5.00 / person. No "Subject to Change" notification, no "Special Events Excluded" notification, no "Holiday's Excluded". After CALLING and VERIFYING the price then driving 192 miles from Houston, they decided they would up the charge from $5 to $25 a ...

  • Best Place on the Lake
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/12/04
I have traveled to Austin throughout the years, and no place on Lake Travis can match the quality of Windy Point Park. Beautiful green grass, clean waterfront, a perfect place to spend the day with family.
