I have visited the Oasis several times and this is a place you go to for great views, drinks and live music played by The Brew!! Awesome combination!

Stay Away from The Oasis
By Don't go to Fingers!, 08/14/07
The Oasis fits the Yogi Berra saying: "Nobody goes to that restaurant anymone, it's too crowded." On a hillside overlooking Lake Travis, The Oasis has, sadly, turned into an overpriced tourist trap. Don't go there unless you are entertaining out-of-town guests whose taste buds have been declared legally dead. On my very last ...

after 23 years, a disappointment
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/06/07
I live near Mansfield Dam, and have a small Bed and Breakfast, Casa del Sol. I have eaten at the Oasis, brought my parents to the Oasis, sent my guests to the Oasis, and had an overall wonderful feeling about the Oasis. I'm not a chronic complainer, so I hope you will take this seriously. Yesterday, I brought a dear friend. The food was 30 ...

The view was great
By Keith, 08/09/06
Very nice view in the outside seating area. Food was ok... you can find better food (for more $$$), but you are really paying for the view, which is worth the price. Service was fine, not rushed, and overall recommended.
I enjoyed the view of Lake Travis from the outside seating area. We had lunch there during ROT and the service was good, great food and this a destination that many bikers like to go to when our riding.

Every July!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/22/06
This is what the Texas hill country is all about. Some people say that the food isn't that great...you don't go to the Oasis for food you go for the view. This is the most beautiful scene I have ever experienced, and I go every July when I am in Austin for the 4th. It's sad that so much of the deck was destroyed in the fire but they are working like mad to rebuild. Can't wait till I get there in July.

A little expensive but good
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/12/06
Server tried hard but seemed to be very busy. The enchiladas were fantastic! Best part of the experience was the food. Drinks are great as well. Of course, the views are incredible. I liked the professional decoration and look of the inside dining although was not pleased to see kids running all around. Keep them at their own tables.

Sunset like heaven

The most beautiful sunset I have ever seen in my life. The view makes you feel part of heaven. Spectacular, romantic, exciting, beautiful, in awe.

Not Gone...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/16/05
The Oasis did catch fire back on June 1 '05, it was re-opened on June 3 '05.
The drinks are great, the view is great, the service was OK (busy - but not inattentive), the food wasn't spectacular, but it wasn't bad. I've only been there after the fire, so maybe they got new chefs. In any case, I go as frequently as I can.
