  • Why waste money

    I liked that we were seated right away on a Saturday night. However, the poor service and food quality would not encourage me to go back. It took forever for the waiter to come by and take our drink order. Finally, another waiter came by with our drink order. After 15 minutes, the original waiter comes by to take our appetizer order, then 15 ...

  • Dont go on marathon weekend.

    We went to eat at Romeos on the weedend of a marathon or bike race and it was awful. We waited an hour to be seated in a half heated tent outside the restaurant. The service was extremly slow and rude. The food was served cold. It was probally just the time we picked to go but I will never be back.

    i found this great Italian restaurant on a reco of a friend and wow wow wow.

    Super food, great staff and loved the piano

    The outside patio was very nice and I enjoyed the signature calamari dish!

  • Will not be back

    I have given this place 3 tries and I will not be back. This time, the service was awful. Not timely. Bread not served on time, smokers at table next to us, and drinks not filled. The chicken parm sandwich and the chicken olive sandwich was tasteless and the chicken was dry.

  • Romantic!

    Romeo's is the most romantic Italian restaurant in the Austin area, maybe even in Texas! The ambiance is subtly lit and homey, and the food is excellent to match.

  • Perfect for Romantic Occasions!

    Romeo's was a very low key, but had a beautiful restraunt atmosphere. My boyfriend and I attended Romeo's for our "Anniversary" and we both loved it. The food was very good, and the atmosphere was our favorite by far. The prices weren't outrageous, and that is always an important criteria for a good restraunt. I am sure we will return for other special occasions!

  • great food, but poor service

    we loved the food and the atmosphere, but our asian waitress could have paid more attention. there was no re check on us if we needed anything else after getting our order, and a cold thank you at the end didn't make us feel very welcomed.

    Love the atmosphere! Romantic, yet casual - definitely not pretentious! Great food at a reasonable price... was very impressed to meet one of the owner's working the bar and the live piano music adds just the right touch!

  • Favorite Funky Italian Restaurant

    Our family of Italians loves Romeo's!!! There really is something for everyone, whether you go for a family feast, or a romantic dinner for two. The appetizers are great -- I highly recommend the calamari, esp. during happy hour (1/2 price). The atmosphere is Italian/Funky --the perfect Austin ambience. We'll be having a wedding shower for my daughter at Romeo's in July -- it will be a highlight of the wedding events! SMcBrayer
